The word Reiki is a Japanese word which means Universal Life Energy, an energy which is all around us. The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "Life Force Energy." Just as in the technological world, energy comes in the form of matter and enables electricity to be used in the home, and to make mobile devices work; Life Force Energy is all around and is the energy that is vital for us to live. When this Life Force flows without disruption or blockages in the body, the body is full of vitality, and cells and organs flourish. When this Life Force is disrupted or diminishes, physical illness can result in the body and energy levels of a person become low.
Reiki energy has its own intelligence and goes to wherever it is needed, working holistically on mind, body and spirit, to restore wellness and balance.
Reiki can help with:
• Tension headaches
• Pain in general
